Lonely Rave
director, creator, choreographer, DP Dancer Akiwele Burayidi navigates uneasily between two worlds: an abandoned kindergarten classroom and empty green rave. Lonely Rave was created in collaboration between Tye Trondson, Akiwele Burayidi, and Elyza Therese Parker.
Lonely Rave recieved the Committee Choice Award by the Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD) Art’s Committee in July 2022. Selected by an adjudicated panel, the film was featured at the 94th annual WUD Art Showcase in June 2022. Lonely Rave screened at Mills Folly Microcinema in July 2022, and premiered at Can of Worms (2021) at the H’Doubler Theater in Madison, WI.
